Ok we'll call it northern soul but I suppose it is'nt really, released way back in 1970 and was'nt this taken from a musical play or something (Hair maybe??) - I think there are some more versions of this around, can anyone tell me who sang the other versions?....it's a 100mph stormer anyway! (are you still with us Miss Hoyle?) Love it!

This is'nt prog. Its a good pop soul song etc. It's a Gerry Bron production with an arrangment. She has good progressive jazz rock credentials, which is not prog. This is a Laura Nyro song. Linda also recorded Lonely women , but heard the lyrics incorrectly off Ms Nyros LP. This is a great version which I heard years before Nyro.

Laura Nyro wrote and recorded this; Three Dog Night had a fairly big hit with it as well.
