Chuck Holzman's Melges 20 "Flyer" rip downwind at 12 to 14 knots of boatspeed as they warm up for the 2010 Bacardi Sailing Week in Miami. Holzman was the top M20 owner driver at this event and used the standard Quantum class sails.
Special notes: Jib out in over 12 knots all the time downwind, keep the jib slightly undertrimmed so it does not gas the spinnaker, keep the boat on a plane by steering to a constant 5 degrees of leeward heel to get up and over the chop without having to oversteer. Ease the spinnaker sheet slightly in all puffs to keep the boat accelerating.
