@JGervs1102 I didn't mean AWD meant all four wheels turning. The only way to have true 4x4 or true AWD would be to lock the front and rear end. And even still AWD still has that 3rd differential. In a 4x4 it would be called a transfercase. In an AWD it's just another differential.

In a sense they are the same except like I said AWD can't switch into 2wd. If you were trying to school me on how a differential works you've failed cause I guarantee I know more about it than you!

@flipbarracuda @RKereme You're wrong. AWD is not ALL of the wheels. 4x4 is ALL of the wheels. AWD is still 2 wheels going, its just that its one in the front, and one in the rear. (Left rear, right front). only way to go is 4x4. AWD trucks suck.

@RKereme False the 4x4 can transfer between 2 and 4 wheel drive... and the AWD is for lack of a better word... 4x4 all the time without the option to transfer into 2wd
