A tribute to the filmmakers Tom Laughlin and his wife Delores Taylor who created the legend of Billy Jack. All adjusted dollars, it was and is still among the highest box office records for an independent feature length film mostly casting non professional actors.

Due to my political activity, I was, on several occasions, mistaken for the Tom Laughlin of the movies.Tough having to say "no"..but "no" it is. These mistakes occured later in life when T La
and T Lo looked a little different from movie "trim" and in my case, motorcycle racing conditioning.

I remember going to see Billy Jack at the Drive In when I was a kid. At the end when Billy Jack was being led away in hand cuffs and all the people in the movie raised their fists in support . I looked outside of our car and everyone in the drive in theatre were outside of their cars with their fists raised in the air!

I actually get a little choked up watching some of the old billy jack stuff. The seventies were a strange time but I loved being a part of it and think it was a great time to be a kid.
No bike helmets, cameras in the locker room and nukes didnt accidentally dissapear then reappear like they did last week in south dakota.
