Like I said before I tend to be a optimist and believe that the American people won't vote in a President that will grossly misuse this law. But if we do I also hope that he well be punished. Impeachment even if the misuse is bad enough. But I would agree with you that it would be nice to have a time limit.
I've never said the bill was perfect just that with todays world it might be necessary.

It is irrelevant whether the current president would misuse the law if the law is permanent. Who knows who will be in power ten, twenty years from now and how they will misuse the law. This law sets a dangerous precedent.

exaclty, they left it vague for a reason. They could have easily kept the wording in to protect innocent americans from government tyranny.

Can you think of anything that is a violation of state or federal law (J walk, fighting, car crash), influence policy (protest) that should not be considered terrorism?

Sorry I'm 16 I've got better things to do than look up some section in the Patriot act.(those porn sites arent going to find themselfs you know) If you feel like summerizing it I'm sure I will have a opinion about it though. I'm quite a opinionated person if you can't tell.

No I can't see into President Bush's heart but you saying he might be evil is contecture just as well. I'm guess I'm guilty of assuming the American people didnt twice vote in someone who is evil. I guess you could call me a optimist. And all the people in power contrarry to your thoughts didnt see any reason to impeach Bush operantly.

Thanks all for your comments. I admit the video is a bit rough. There are two things I see happening. A lack of education being offered and a lack of interest from other people to learn. I feel like making flyers that state on page why this bill is madness.

You act like this bill affects every day Americans. Habeas Corpus is still in affect for US citizens. It only affects terrorist that are suspected of trying to kill inocent people. If the bill is realy as bad as you make it seam dont you think that the Supreme Court would veto it. And dont try to say the Republicans control them cause that would just be stupid.

If you notice the exact wording of the bill, it states that the President or Secretary of Defense can label anyone as an enemy combatant. It doesn't say anything about non US citizens.
