Six women give up their everyday lives and spend a month living with some of the world's most remote tribes, immersing themselves fully into their new culture. Each woman must work, eat and sleep exactly as the other tribal women. In this clip, Dionne Braham joins the Maasai tribe in Tanzania to learn more about tribal view on love and polygamy. Interesting short video from BBC show Tribal Wives

  • i like the language... it sounds really nice :D

  • Human beings are not built for monogamy. We are not ducks or geese. I need variety, I am probably very unique that way because I am female. I have been called a lot of names that men in my situation would not be called. I do not sleep around but I practice safe sex always and I am very particular of whom I bed with. So this culture does not surprise me or offend me. If they are happy, then God Bless them.

  • for only two line sentence they have to say the paragraph.how hard the language is :/

  • The maasai do have love, but it's not individual to a lover.

  • she asked only a few guys what they thought love is and made it seem like all maasai men believe in that. That's like going to a bar and asking a random group of guys about women; they will respond in the same way.

  • Shut Up Women

  • Polygamy only works in favor of men. The men get variety but the women get stuck with one man. I prefer polyamory.

At what point did I intimate that monogamy in humans is genetic??? Do you take the time to actually read the posts you're responding to???? My first post to you:

"I agree with your point that there is nothing inherently wrong with polygamy"

I then went to the animal/other species issue. Nothing more nothing less. Stop putting words in my mouth. I have no problems with polygamy.

  • @0Uhuru0

if you honestly think monogamy in humans is genetic than you need to study biology.

Don't know how you concluded 11 out of millions considering I said "at least". But to continue on your point, you said there were "none". We now know this to be incorrect. I would hazard a guess that if there are these 11, there are more. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
