  • Sharapova does drive through at the point of contact! However, This clip is horrible because its a return of serve not her forehand technique. They are a different motions. You don't drive through return of serve you use the serves pace so she is doing the right thing in this clip.

  • Her backhand is better.

  • @Teerins Actually her backside is better lol

  • it is an ugly shot and in most cases it isnt that effective as it was.

  • I know this is a return. I'm talking about in other instances. And she doesn't always jerk up, but she does on occasion, especially when she's on the run or off the back foot.

  • I've heard she's left handed.

She jerks up at the point of contact when she should be hitting through the ball. It's still a solid shot, but her backhand is far superior.

  • she's not. she's ambidextrous.

  • her swing looks awkward because she's not right handed naturally. she start using her right at the age of 9 or 10 . she's a natural left handed person. when she uses her backhand it looks perfect and know where the ball should be drop.

  • MS's swing is awkward.

Her swing is not straight. She forces her racket up abruptly around the point of contact.
