Trying to make a lightsaber effect

okay i know this is extremely cliche and 10000000 other people have done it better than me but this is my first time... so here goes nothing... i just used the same 1 sec sound clip over and over but reversed it every other time...

Which Program do you use?

I have Adobe After Effects CS4
