I should add that I do believe it was sold as Mac Davis on iTunes, I just don't know why. It could be that this was a production and marketing technique back in the day. For example, I have a Waylon Jennings album where he sings a song live, by himself, that they later dubbed in Willy Nelson onto, and the version with Willy is now the most popular version despite the fact that he never actually appeared on the song live.

Thank you very much for the compliment! The song was voiced by a number of different men, as I found out when I tried to find the best version for my movie. This one was sung by Mac Davis, as stated in the credits.

Well I have that same song on the album 'Wanted the Outlaws'Which featured Tompall Glaser and that is the exact same song only a little faster on this video

I imagine one male voice sounds pretty much like another, but I can assure you, it was sold to me under the name of Mac Davis. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to believe iTunes on this one . . .
