I believe tongues exits, I just think that people make to much of a big deal out of it. This twitching, and falling over, isn't of God. You show me where in the bible that it says this is of God. Tongues spoken in church is supposed to be interpreted, if they are not. It's not of God.

I speak in tongues by the spirit of God. Sorry that whacko's make the whole thing look bad, but the truth is, is that the Word doesn't say "whoops, sorry, it's purpose is done and I'm now taking it away." No, we are charged to use the Word of God, confirmation of the Holy Spirit and examine the fruits that a person bears. To look at 'whackos' and then paint the whole thing bad instead of testing everything is foolishness. We might just end up 'crucifying' believers in the name of God!

@Eaglesnest222 You are right and the Lord will reward you for your berean study. Isnt it interesting that so many Christians seem obsessed by spiritual warfare and yet they are as worldly as the world- consider- Satans war with your mind- women thinking they have no self esteem- Bible says we have too much esteem thats our problem- that we need things, money holidays etc- that is as much diverting warfare than all this nonsense.

All of Cor.14 is about speaking in tongues & prophesying..it speaks of order but doesn't say that it is only for the early church or just the apostles, in fact, it speaks it is for all believers..it speaks of the different kinds of tongues, etc. Tongues has a purpose to edify and as a sign to the unbeliever. It is also a prayer language. It is not of the occult by any means..being filled w/the HS & power is for these latter days where it's needed most in this spiritual warfare against satan.

Either you believe in all scripture or you do not..if you do not believe in all scripture you are not of Christ and are of antichrist. Joel 2;28 & Acts 2;17: And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Isaiah 28;11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

con't: You will find that the only people who condemn the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues (which is in Isaiah and Acts & throughout the NT) are people who have NEVER experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues. Remember also that satan is a deceiver & counterfeits everything of God. To deny the baptism, to deny the gifts of the spirit as written in scripture, is to deny God & all the words of the prophets.
