i wonder how it drives? i mean the 02 -03 have 6 speeds yours is a five. let me know what the gears are like. should be pretty quick

are the 98s fuel gauges backwards to the 97s? mine faces the other way lol

@Streetsleeper215 jim wolf technologies has the spacers...i have vq3.5 heads with the spacers in them for a swap. for sale

I have the motor but what I don't understand is why do I have to swap timing components from the 3.0 into the 3.5 which I read on the forums? Any way I could just do the swap without doing that?

@ElJefe921 i have the same question i have a 96 with stock the 3.0 and i know were i can get a 3.5 cheap but i have no idea if it would link to my tranny

i'd like to swap my 3.0 from my maxima to a 3.5..what all would i need in order to do so?...would it be better to get a trans from a 3.5 to go with it aswell?

nice. did you also swap a 6 speed trans or kept the 98 stuff. i got a 95 vq35 swap. i used the 3.0trans and kept the haress and ecu from the 95...no vct tho -_-

5spd was just fine but I ended up putting in an 04 Sentra SER Spec V HLSD 6spd which has shorter gears than the 02-03 Maximas. In turn it was much quicker off the line

Thanks, no I kept the factory 5spd with an Exedy clutch for now. I eventually have plans for a supercharger kit in which case I will look for a quaife diff. and upgraded clutch. I also kept the 3.0L timing and lost VCT but not too worried about that.
