  • yes the bird is trying to mate with you, you're all very sick people

  • @SeanyMac66 LOL at least you have a since of humor :)

  • wintercs, is this bird male or female. Because my moms bird does the same thing...check out my video...and we always thought he was a male.

  • @simplydreaming Smokey is a female. I had to have a DNA test to confirm that but there is a way to tell via the tail feathers. Type this into google, its the first link: african grey sexing tail feathers

  • mine does this also, and regurgitates at the same time, tries to feed my hand. how nice!

  • HEY RETARDS! THIS PERSON KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! He is doing the typical sound and usually they rock their body back and forth and it looks like "dancing". I know for a FACT that it is their form of masturbation because my BF and I let our Congo African Grey do it at the Vet's office and SHE TOLD US EXACTLY THAT! So yes, maybe you guys just need to STFU until you get your facts straight.

Beautiful bird, by the way. Sorry about the idiots! (=

  • Mating behavior should be discouraged, as it may frustrate the bird and promote biting and aggression. In the male testicles are located right underneath the spine, so petting should be confined only to head and neck areas. Going all the way down the tail may accidently involved touching the cloak area, which is what birds do during mating. Also, in the wild, friend birds will preen only each others heads, the rest of the body is reserved for mates only.

  • My guy does that too and he's male. It mean they are bonded to the person holding them. It's normal. Similar to your dog humping your leg but just more selective. It's a sign of contentment and joy. Good looking bird.

  • The parrot we have does this when he is in a room alone, but he is tulsi ally playing with a toy in his cage when he makes this sound...

  • When my parrot first did this noise I though she was dying or something. then I found out she wanted to have sex lol. Phew I guess.

  • it would be funny is he/she was making those noises cuz they had to poop

  • @flychomperfly i had to give her away and i gave her to someone else she also loved too. she is much happier now and i saw pictures of her a few weeks ago and she got all her feathers and her face is glowing now. she is much happier now and im happy that she had to leave me in the end. i still think about her and get upset but i know that she is happy and the people i hgave her too care for her very well. so dont tell me why i would give her away. it was for the best and shes better now.

  • @QuackQuack61 why would you "give away" a sick bird??? how horrible is that? if you all thought the bird was sick, why didn't she bring the bird to a bird vet? and did the person who got the bird think they were getting a sick bird?

maybe someday when you get sick, your mom will decide to give you away.

poor bird...she lost her family because she loved them too much. *cry*

i don't understand this...i understand my birds better than i do humans :(

  • My Gray, Moe-Joe does this aswell and does it when he is on my shoulder so I start getting nervous he'll try hump my ear! haha

  • @obliviouskirsten Thanks she is such a sweet heart :)
