Flip MinoHD vs Kodak Zi6 - Test 3 Side-by-Side at 720p

This is a test video I made showing the same footage captured with the Flip MinoHD and the Kodak Zi6 pocket HD camcorders.

Test 3 Side-By-Side is video I shot as I was driving one day. I turned both camcorders on and used my iPod and cell phone holder on the window to brace these as I drove. This is intended to show the differences in bright light.

The audio you will hear in this version of the test is coming from the Kodak Zi6. (To hear audio from the Flip, view the Test 3 Continuous).

in a kitchen using only the light above the stove. It is intended to show how this captures in an extreme low light setting. Notice that you can see more detail on the front of the stove with the Flip MinoHD, yet the lighting and color is off.

but 720p is real HD

flip doesnt really shoot in real HD.

ya but with the flip you are limited to 1 hour, with the zi6 you can use up to 32gigs of storage.

Best buy is having a deal right now..$129. Bought a 8gb SDHC and total price for all was $174..NOT BAD AT ALL...The only thing is that I did the store pick up and didn't notice that they gave me the pink one :( Have to take it back tomorrow

But the thing is I upgraded from another "HD" video camera.

And I bought an SDHC card with it. XD

But wouldn't the price of memory cards for the Zi6 bring the price closer to that of the Mino? I've been looking at these two cameras trying to decide which to get. I like the flip but it doesn't have a memory card slot. But the Zi6 doesn't have the internal storage I want either.

The Kodak Zi6 has MUCH better colors. Though the FlipMinoHD is a TAD smoother I must say. I don't have either of these cameras though I will be getting the Kodak Zi6. It's overall better by a small bit from the FlipMinoHD. :] AND IT'S CHEAPER!
