I can't say for sure, since I had to get rid of my SRT-4 to get my Z.. but I think so. My butt meter tells me that my SRT-4 and my HR 350z are dead even from a 50 or 60 roll, at least up to about 130. The power to weight ratio of the SRT-4 is good enough that it pulls really hard once you get rolling. Such a flat torque curve too, which gives it a slight edge when changing gears. SRT-4's are deadly from a roll with a decent driver. They struggle out of the hole more.

Those mods should be worth 2 to 3 tenths in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. I bet it sounds good :-) Since a Stage 2 SRT-4 is capable of running a 13.2- 13.3 1/4 mile with a decent driver, I still have to think that something is wrong with either your friend's driving, or his car. What you have is a much nicer car that will probably hold together much better with high mileage, but even a stock 04-05 SRT-4 should pull on you slightly, let alone a Stage 2.

I'm going to say what anybody who takes 2 minutes to look up some acceleration tests on these cars should already know. I love the Altima SE-R, I love Nissans in general. I've had a 300zx, a Sentra Spec V, and 2 350z's. My current car is an 07 350z. I had an 04 SRT-4 right in between my Spec V and my 05 350z. With just a short RAM intake, my SRT-4 ran a 13.72@104.6mph. It was clearly faster than my 05 350z with the DE engine, which is faster than an Altima SE-R. Driver kills the SRT here
