  • @citydriver this video is just stupid lol. if you search ecoboost baja race truck there are plenty of videos proving it was real

  • @stuntrider15 kinda kills the believebility

  • for instance @ 2:13-2:14 that noise is a ecoboost

  • @citydriver i notcied that too. at some clips you hear a V6 while mainly the whole video was the sound of the race version 6.2L V8

  • dosent have the right sound as they are racing id recognize a v6 even with turbos hey have a very distinctive sound

  • @epert1010

Okay, if its going like the trophy trucks that make 800 horsepower why did it take eight more hours to cross the finish line than the high-powered trucks did? Do you honestly think that the Baja 1000 organizers would let them compete in the "stock engine" class without checking if it was in fact a stock engine? And NO, you cant hear turbo noise in the CAB of an unmuffled offroad vehicle at racing speed, even the 1000 horse trophy trucks with noisy turbos running 30psi of boost.

  • @81broncoman O and by the way i hate the newer chevy trucks they look ugly as hell i would much rather have a ford raptor or even a normal ecoboost f-150. All i'm trying to say is there is no way an ecoboost could push that trophy truck through that hilly sandy shit as fast as its going in this video. Its going like the trophy trucks that have big blocks making 800 horsepower. I guess you think companies never lie to endorse their products to make money? Moms never told you not to believe T.V?

  • After 1:11 you fucking idiot when the truck is ripping up the hill there is absolutly no turbo wine. THAT is the sound i am saying is not being produced by a 3.5 litre six cylender engine. And i know my malibou is'nt set up near as good as a truck like this thats why i said it would make ALMOST as much power. I just said that to make a point that this 3.5 without turbos would be a gutless peice of shit and even with twin turbos theres no way it could push that truck up that hill like that.

  • @epert1010

That poor boat anchor V-6 in your Malibu is made of pig iron and two valves per cylinder, fed through a four-speed slushbox.

The noise at 1:11 I hear a nice discernible whine that sweeps up, very turbocharger-like in its pitch, but you cant and don't know how to tell RPM from sound. From a 2-second sound bite and no knowledge at all you declare that Ford is lying. If this engine was a GM product you would declare it the greatest engine of all time, but its a Ford so it must be a lie.

  • @81broncoman At 1:11 you cant friggin tell me that sound is being produced by a low RPM 3.5 six banger. My chevy malibou has a fuckin 3.5 into it. This ecoboost motor would hardly make any more power than my car if it wasn't for the twin turbo set up and none of that noise your hearing at 1:11 is being made by the turbos. All i can hear and see in this video is ford stretching the truth to bring some sales up.
