"Team Tibet", follows a group of Tibetans living in exile in India, who want Tibet to be able to take part in the 2008 Olympics.

Filmed August 2007 in McLeod Ganj and Delhi, it asks: Why did they flee Tibet? What is the situation in Tibet under Chinese occupation? What are their hopes for the future of their country, people and cultures? And What about the 2008 games?

  • Love, Peace, Understanding, Harmony, Happiness, Forgiveness to All Humans in this World.

  • nice vision, does this include the right to protest?

  • I think most Zang ethnic minorities (Tibetans) activists, living outside of their motherland, China and a small number inside China, including a small minority of Western sympathisers have realized that they have lost a lot of respect in the International Communities today. The disruptions of the Olympic Torch, The Beijing Games, The riots in Lhasa, Xizang (Tibet) province of China in March 2008, and many other disruptive demonstrations had been condemn by people worldwide. Peace to the world.

  • Youtube marked this as Spam,

I won't censor it further and confirm it as Spam, because I believe in full 100% freedom of speech and expression, which is denied within China and Tibet. The riots were horrific but why did they happen? Allow people to live their lives how they want ! I for one have respect for those that stand up for universal human rights, and very little for those intent on limiting freedom of speech, debate, protest, liberty.

How about you 'Global visual' ?

  • Just to reiterate, the film is not supposed to be anti Chinese or anti China! The Dali Lama is NOT asking for an Independent Tibet. Yes, I agree Tibet was never a 'Shangr La', there were many problems with the system before the PLA marched in. Still, there are tragic human rights violations in Tibet and China that need to be addressed. This should be the primary concern, not nationalism

  • The film is from the perspective of Tibetans living in exile in India, but also reflects the views of many Tibetans I met in Tibet.

The beauty with 'open media' such as youtube .. is that people can add their voice, through comments or video responses.

My photos and blog from Tibet and China, are at environments org uk

  • countries that boycotted: 0

    number of monks saved: 0

  • from a christian perspective tibet is very confusing, because all men are created equal before God.

  • Some of these articles even justified the case of independence for Tibet, the Dalai Lama said. So it is worthwhile to make more effort to reach out to Chinese people and from our side we have made special effort to meet Chinese intellectuals and people when ever possible, the Dalai Lama said.

So we must not lose our hope and courage, he added

  • I think the best compromise is a more autonomous provincial state with a communist government. But keeping the original flag but add a stars on it.
