New packaging of Folgers Coffee is 48 oz. yet makes 380 cups. 2 year old packing is 52 oz. yet makes 360 cups. What does the Folgers Coffee make more 6 oz. cups of coffee with less coffee in total package? If you have ideas please comment.

  • Blasphemy how dare you talk slander about my beloved Folgers.

  • Assuming Folgers™ is being honest, then there are two likely answers:

    1) The newer coffee beans are stronger because of a new supplier or a new blend recipe. You will then need less coffee for the same taste. But this theory is wrong if you still use the same amount..

    2) A new grinding/roasting method that dehydrates the coffee more, making it lighter. The volume remains the same so that you'd still use a teaspoon or whatever, but it would be lighter. That also saves gas for transportation.

  • Fuck!!

  • if the beans are of higher quality and fresher then you don't need as much.

  • I have tried them all, and for the price I think MD's is the best. Yes there are others that I prefer over it if I'm Mr.Money bags at the moment, but still I enjoy me some MD coffee Lol

  • @RonnyLive19881 Try a cup of Behrs Brothers from KC MO any bean selection... really, Mcdonalds is the best u have tried? i mean F folgers is better than that pisswater. single origin is where it's at. maybe some Parizzi or ooo Roastery blends, sorry but if Micky D's is the best uv had then thats all uv had.

  • I don't care what people say, I have been a fan of coffee for about 14 years(I'm 22) and have tried coffees from off over the US and in some other parts of the world and I SWEAR that McDonald's has the best coffee you can buy... there was a Bed and Breakfast that had some killer coffee that floored it but good luck finding that little place in Wyoming Lol.

  • Improvements in the manufacturing process resulted in more moisture being removed, making the product weigh less.

  • well they probably weaken the coffee by using a compound called plynonantopython
