@BoomBoxDeluxe Accuracy is better with all 3 coils energized as with one coil the meter tends to run 2 to 3 % faster as there is no magnetic flux of the other two coils.
In a 3 phase set up with only 1 phase loaded, the disc still has some magnetic flux to deal with from the other two phases potential coils.

In regards to wiring the 3ph meter though, some direct-wired ones will work on only one set of coils energised. My Sangamo Weston S301.1 is such an instrument. I don't need to wire up the other two phases for it to run at the correct speed. In fact, I thought that if I did, it would run three times faster, but what you've just done proves otherwise. :-)
