  • @cxoswingdriver1 Yeah... I just hate that it had to be against somebody that I like. Why couldn't it have been against the yankees? I was really rooting for the Rangers last year b/c Matt Cain pitches for the giants, and my best friend graduated high school with him; Cain and his jock counterparts were infamous for making fun of a particular retarded kid there. I'm sure other major leaguers did the same thing, but I KNOW this to be the case with him. That kind of heart is just evil.

  • @quentedlin And may I be one of the first to say congratulations on another championship last night. Game six was absolutely incredible! It took the wind right out of the Rangers' sails.

  • @cxoswingdriver1 Thanks for noticing. St Louisians have a deep love of the game that perhaps comes from being the first club west of the Mississippi (1892). When former Cardinals' players appear at the plate at Busch Stadium for the opposing team, the home crowd ALWAYS cheers for them. We don't boo our own players, even when they slump. Most of us fans will also root for the NL Central champs, as long as we don't face them as a wild card. Solidarity goes beyond the score. It's an unspoken rule.

  • I just wanted to say to all the Cardinals fans out there, I'm a long-suffering Astros fan, and when we beat the Cards in the 2005 NLCS in St Louis, I heard nothing but applause from the home crowd when our guys came off the field after clinching our first and only pennant. To me, this showed what a classy bunch of people the Cardiinals fans, and the people of St. Louis are in general. You deserved that World Series trophy the team brought home the next year. Nice things happen to nice people!
