The host committee for the Coakley fundraiser at Pennsylvania Avenue's Sonoma Restaurant includes lobbyists for Pfizer, Merck, Eli Lilly, Novartis and sundry other drug companies that have been among the biggest of ObamaCare's corporate sponsors. Other hosts—who have raised at least $10,000 for Ms. Coakley—include representatives from UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and other insurers.

It was a good tactic in theory because democratic voters care more about a candidates race and gender than they do about their platform. Altogether, I see the Democratic Party for what they are, and as a member of the Democratic Party I could have only once hoped our U.S. Congressmen would of impassioned themselves to the words of our founding fathers.
