Here is a break down of the game by screen. System software version shows ??RM-00150005 r11. The main screen shows three different modes: Normal Mode, Playlist Mode, and Workout Mode. After selecting Normal Mode, you will select to have the game show 1 difficulty at once or 3 difficulties at once. The Music Select screen shows connected and disconnected pads on the left and right of the screen. 32 total wireless pads can be connected. Connected pads show up as various colours in bold. (Not pictured; Mod's can also be selected and will affect all three difficulties.) In game play, the connected pads are shown at the top of the screen in order by pad ID number. Above the ID, judgments are shown (superb, perfect, miss, etc). At the bottom of this screen, a percentage of your score is shown. They are initially in order by pad ID, but rearrange during the song by score. The Results screen shows only a grade letter and score percentage, it does not show the number of judged steps you've hit or missed. Returning to the main screen, we move on to Workout Mode. Upon selecting, you will see a new screen for managing and creating workout modes. (I was unable to get video of the creation of a new mode.) It appears that newly created modes will show the time length and overall difficulty level only. After selecting a workout, you are taken to a Review screen. This screen shows more details about the workout including the number of songs and a playlist. The Playlist only shows the genre of the selected songs, not the names of the songs. There is also some sort of bar graph, but I am not sure what data exactly it's graphing. Additionally, you can also choose to edit the workout or edit the playlist. After selecting Play, you are again able to select either 1 difficulty or 3 difficulties to be shown at once. After a very long load time, you are into the game play. A timer is shown which keeps track of the total amount of time played. After a song the bar graph is shown along with the song number and time left in the workout. This concludes the software portion.

The pads are of an extremely simplistic design. The pad is very thin, about 1.5-2inches thick. The two materials used are rubbery plastic and sheet metal. The sensors work by two pieces of sheet metal contacting with each other. The top arrow is a rounded shape and then is flattened as you step to contact with the bottom piece of sheet of metal. This makes for a very poor, cheap and flimsy feeling. Each pad has a built in display which shows an icon for when the pad is connected and the battery life. There is a button below the display which shows the following screens: PAD ID, CALORIES, SCORE, TIME, and STEPS hit. The worst part about this pad is the dimensions of the arrows, particularly the center arrow, which is extremely large. The dimensions are in no way arcade accurate. With the huge center arrow, it is much harder to hit the diagonal arrows in certain step chart patterns. When hitting up-left and down-right your legs must spread apart much a large distance, which is uncomfortable at fast speeds.

  • theres a japenesey monkey song thingy on there anyone know wat its called?

  • i think you are talking about Epaksa - Monkey Magic

    its Korean btw

  • That is one wide center step.

The display on the pad seems pretty much useless... who would look down there to see their stats, instead of up on the screen?

  • well the screen doesnt show anything more than just a percentage at the results screen ;/

  • Then THAT'S dumb. If this version is fitness-based, put the important information on the prominent screen and the extra stuff on the display... bah.

  • well there is little room for that much information especially when 32 players can be playing at once

  • Whoa that is a cool slim pad. Beats lugging my bulky CFlux pad from place to place. Looks like the dimensions are the same as usual only with a bigger center. More to step on!

  • The dimensions look the same other than the middle arrow being wider - looks easier for kids to play. I like the thinner pads cause i hate lugging the heavy ddr pads from place to place for my kid. Are this available now?

  • the pads are very bad, especially the dimensions of the center arrow.

  • wow. wish konami or some company would make nice pads like that for itg/ddr.
