A tutorial on blending animations with skeletal meshes in Unreal Matinee. When I first tried to do this I didn't know much about Animation in Unreal, and I couldn't find any tutorials like this one, so it took me some digging to figure it out. I hope this video can be of help to those in a similar situation.

You can download the map file here:

This tutorial was created in the March 2010 build of UDK.

For the sake of Google, this is the error message that had me stumped for a while: "This Actor Has No AnimControl Channels Left."

My tutorials are heavily scripted and edited to be fairly concise, with minimal downtime and fumbling around. I also assume you're not an idiot, so I don't explain how the little green arrow works every time you need to set a property to an object from the Content Browser. If you miss something, you can pause and rewind. If anything else is unclear, or if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.

  • you're awesome! thanks for the tut!

  • Brilliant tutorial.

  • Hi, got a big problem with my Matinee-Animation. My AnimTracks are not played in the Viewport, but they are shown In-Game. If I use a SkeletalMesh they are shown in the viewport and In-Game, but using a SkeletalMesh_MAT causes the Problem. Clue anyone?

  • @haney9 The copyright police?.. you mean the FBI?..
