The p90x workout alternating shoulder press is part of the P90X shoulders and arms workout, which includes several pressing and pushing movements. The alternating shoulder press exercise targets your shoulder muscles, especially the front and side deltoids.
Other muscles assist during this p90x exercise, including the tricep muscles, trapezius muscles and rotator cuff muscles.
Step 1
Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart.
Step 2
Hold the bands at shoulder level with your palms facing forward.
Step 3
Press the right band overhead with your palm faces in toward your body.
Step 4
Lower the right band, then perform the same movement with the left band. Alternate back and forth.
