Billy Edwards deserves a big pat on the back. He fought this "Giant" on very light, stand-up tackle. This means he had to endure a battle with a 385 lbs. fish, by applying 25 lbs. of drag (at most), which took 1.5 hours. I watched the majority of the fight, I wished I had pulled my video camera out earlier to get footage of the boat being pulled backwards by the fish, literally. Congrats to the entire team, as this is a team effort to land a fish of this size.

take it up with the commercial fishing industry, and the regulatory bodies that (mis)manages the quotas. Recreational fishing represents less than 1% of the total tuna harvested around the world.

as i said before that smal part of the ocean is were ALL the tuna r due to migration patterns and spawning patterns. most considerate recreational fisherman will release a large catch unless like this clip the fish dies in the chase.Google "Electronic tagging and population structure of Atlantic bluefin tuna" work done by Americans for a Scientific journal, theres a FACT for you!

Tuna are not "endagered" and it is legal to fish for them.

Their are 1000x more tuna in one small part of the Atlantic Ocean than all of the White Rhino's in the world.

These fish are in every ocean around the world, so get your facts straight. If you want to ban recreational fishing then call your congressman, or NAOO.

Tuna is not an endangered species. While COMMERCIAL fishing has slowly depleted stocks of tuna around the world, the annual catch of tuna by RECREATIONAL fisherman is less than 1% of the tuna that are caught around the world. Maybe you should focus your naive energy on the detrimental sides of fishing, and not blindly criticizing those that enjoy fishing by following the regulations. Go talk to your local sushi restaurant if you want to make a difference, that is the cause of demand.
