This part of the presentation reveals some of the major damage to Clark Air Base and nearby Angeles City.
The original full-length version of the feature is almost two-hours long. That feature is currently being revised. It includes considerably more of the damage caused on Clark Air Base. One can easily view and appreciate the devastation that occurred and the desparation of those who evacuated, as well as many who remained in Angeles City during this event.
Also, this portion of our video adventure offers the viewer a rare, but memorable look back at US military facilities as they existed before this colossal event. More footage is on the way soon..

  • 1 think gets me in the clips after the eruption were are all the usa troops?looks like you left the philippines to clean up,you show nuns helping out were is the aid and troops man if the british were there they would be out in force helping and in the first film you show the air base being empted but what word was sent out to the philippine people?

  • nobby604: What did you do during the evac,to ease the suffering? Have you decided that Americans lack the genuine desire to help?

Some might say, "Beautiful Baguio may never have developed,if not for creation of Camp John Hay."

How would Subic Bay, or Angeles City have developed in the absence of a US presence from the Spanish-American war era.

Instead assigning misguided blame for the bad things that happen in our world, let's use this fresh new year to be more supportive in our thinking...

  • what background music you used? tell me what collections. what album or whos the artists.. gimme gimme! thanks!

  • Thanks for your response on the Philippines Experience video series.

The music used in my features is from various production music libraries. It is similar to music used in commercials, movies or TV shows.

It is the only way to go if a producer plans to mass-market their work on DVD, and have it copyrighted. Stay tuned for more.

    Thanks again for your interest...

  • shut up bitch... filipinas aren't like what you think they are! give us some respect butthead!

  • It is remarkable how my video efforts have turned into something LESS THAN POSITIVE. But ignorants can be found everywhere.

I will never appologize for ignorance, or someone's lack of the abilty to communicate with real people and their desire to reach others on common issues.

These Philippines Experience images were produced for positive purposes. Let's all enjoy them in that regard.

  • Thank you so very much for making these available to us. I was a d/w at Clark from 1982-1985. After watching all these, I was surprised at just how much I had forgotten all the little things...

You see, we adopted a daughter while we were there. She is now a mom herself. I am going to send her the link so she can see Clark AB/Angeles City and then share them with her own daughter. What you have provided is a gift to share and a link back to something that for some cannot ever be bridged again.

  • @nobby604 USA was not in relations with the philipines yet. I am not sure about Britain though.

  • this is really cool. was born in clark a month before the eruption. thanks for the upload because i will never get to see it this way in person

  • I was born on clark air force base in april 1987 thanks for the upload.

  • cool video. my dad was an F-14 Tomcat RIO and brought back lots of footage from patrolling around the volcano after the eruption. amazing stuff

  • Where is the part 1 of this video?

  • Wow...I lived on Clark from '83 to '86 on Tawi Tawi Street. I could retrace my walk home from the video. I'd walk from Wagner Middle School up to Grissom E.S. then to Tawi Tawi. it's amazing to see what happened to the area. Thank you for uploading. I would always look at Mt. Arayat thinking it was gonna explode. Little did I know Pinatubo was a lot closer and I had no idea it was there!

  • Those dirty little thieves took EVERYTHING, including what WAS nailed down! I lost everything I owned, not due to the eruption, but from theft. All I can say about the aftermath, is KARMA IS A BITCH!!!!!

  • first time i watch a footage of the aftermath of Mt. Pinatubo eruption....

  • thanks for the video..i was not here when Mt. Pinatubo erupted...and first time i saw a video regarding the eruption...it scared the hell out of me when i found out about the eruption..thinking how's my family back here....i'm in kuwait back then and its just few months after the first gulf war so we dont have any way to communicate here...when i got back oct 91,,, got so sad in seeing my hometown..i almost got lost didnt know wheres my house located bec theres still the ashes everywhere....

  • @nobby604 the us air-force left, i was in the navy, we stayed and did that till the local government wanted more for base rent then we left. Politically we could not justify paying for more in base rent when it needed to be rebuilt, and they were closing numerous bases in every state USA due to the end of the cold war. Mind you that was sovereign USA soil till carter gave them the base in the 70's so morally it was aslo a hard pill to swallow that they would gouge us for more.
