Paradise or Oblivion

http://www.thevenusproject.com

This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, which is updated to present-day knowledge, featuring the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy. This documentary details the root causes of the systemic value disorders and detrimental symptoms caused by our current established system. The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world's people. It is not based on the opinions of the political and financial elite or on illusionary so-called democracies, but on maintaining a dynamic equilibrium with the planet that could ultimately provide abundance for all people.

Paradise or Oblivion, by The Venus Project, introduces the viewer to a more appropriate value system that would be required to enable this caring and holistic approach to benefit human civilization. This alternative surpasses the need for a monetary-based, controlled, and scarcity-oriented environment, which we find ourselves in today.

This is NOT the "major motion picture" that The Venus Project is working towards but rather is a short documentary to introduce the aims and proposals to new people.

This is a free online documentary created by The Venus Project. Original music by Carly Paradis (‪http://www.carlyparadis.com/‬) from her album "They Have Been Watching".

Plastic is everywher, metal and stone can be recycled, wood is already produced in big quantities.

You don't believe food is being destroyed? Look around on google, here are pieces of an article published on May 20 2013 i found with "destruction of unsold food"

"the crop seller picks through the harvested food to take out food products that distributors will not sell as commodities because of aesthetics—overly curled cucumbers or lumpy tomatoes, carrots that are too small, and so on"

Alan !! you are projecting like hell from your background & from what U know. most importantly u don't understand the sequence of events that follows an idea. u r assuming a lot of things.

1st give one practical example to support 'idea is commodity for value exchange'. because i don;t understand 'prime number analogy'. i see a lot of open source websites on electronics, 3d designs & other complex technical stuff for free (nothing in exchange) - wikipedia is another free thing. pls explain this.

True, but I'm still learning to completely love without doubt. I have gained so much, but nothing/nobody is perfect, especially in this sensory receptive world. I don't actively hurt others, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. I just look at things open ended. Basically, impossibility isn't possible (IMO), but "almost" is close enough. With that in mind, I'm content with the probability of me hurting somebody intentionally to be close to "almost impossible", great :)

People are really scared of this super computer, huh? Lol all it will do is monitor Earth's Resources to make sure they are healthy and abundant. They will not monitor human beings. Anyone who even says that just shows their ignorance towards TVP. But I guess you'd rather the Elite monitor your every move which we know for a fact they do? You Technological Fear Mongers are the worst lol.

There's a lot of problems: religion, human behavior, reality. Any problem is fixed by pretending.

If you use 7 to encrypt a message, i'll have no problem reading the message simply by brute force.

Part of the problem is you don't now the significance of know a large prime number. Great, you don't offer me anything I want in trade for it. Right now the he Electronic Frontier Foundation is offering $250k for the number. Today! And that a rip off for what it's really worth. So you can stop thinking it isn't worth anything and you'll easy figure it out.

The idea has value, I trade value. Money

The supercomputer is omniscient and knows what you want before you do. Anything you think of that it doesn't give isn't real and you can't have that. The queue it creates for scarce items aren't really queue, they are efficient fair distribution.

Brain surgery or cleaning a toilet, it's all the same. People doing things for others for free.
