This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, which is updated to present-day knowledge, featuring the life-long work of Social Engineer, Futurist, Inventor and Industrial Designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a Resource-Based Economy. This documentary details the root causes of the systemic value disorders and detrimental symptoms caused by our current established system. The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world's people. It is not based on the opinions of the political and financial elite or on illusionary so-called democracies, but on maintaining a dynamic equilibrium with the planet that could ultimately provide abundance for all people.



Paradise or Oblivion, by The Venus Project, introduces the viewer to a more appropriate value system that would be required to enable this caring and holistic approach to benefit human civilization. This alternative surpasses the need for a monetary-based, controlled, and scarcity-oriented environment, which we find ourselves in today.

This is NOT the "major motion picture" that The Venus Project is working towards but rather is a short documentary to introduce the aims and proposals to new people.

For me the focus is not so much on science and technology - b/c this sounds like going toward a rather technocratic "Brave New World"-like system. I feel its more about the human aspects, our attitude and the way we look at each other and treat each other with sympathy and yes: Love. Love for me is the central notion and the basis for a global community. I dream of a more humane society, whether this new society is a more engineered one.or not is secondary imo.

if you really want a better world you HAVE to engineer and plan it with a social strategy that's "humanistic" for lack of better terms. info provided by TVP tries hard to get across the dire imperative of using science and tech for all people.

Nice words, morality, and platitudes have utterly failed for centuries to produce anything humane. How do you produce that? Through an environment that makes people as such

you make it sound like a moneyless society was only possible through the ways of modern science and technology. But imo it doesnt depend on the tech level. Mankind couldve made it happen centuries ago as it was always done in smaller communities. But they just lacked the attitude for a global community... and indeed religious institutions played a sad part in it. But there is an ignorance in modern science toward the human being aswell. They lack spiritual depth to understand our heartly desires

But your attitudes and heartly desires are put there in your conditioning/upbringing. a humane society is only possible with science. all that makes your life bearable is technology, if that doesn't make sense you could try throwing out your heater&A/C, washers, car, live in the woods or cave for a week, even a day. I've seen few who tried that and liked it. Even so, with 7billion ppl there aren't enough woods for it. To us, this is the best plan for a feasible "spiritual" society.

Now you sound like the human being was merely some sort of fleshy robot, a brain automaton, that can be programmed this or that way. If that'd be the case we wouldnt have movements that rebel against established systems and quite frankly wouldnt have any system of any sorts, since the human original was just an empty machine waiting for input values that it couldnt generate from its own existence. You are human, you are claiming logic, try to project your ideas of the human being upon yourself.

That will probably happen once the present system comes crashing down on itself. And this collapse will probably occur within this decade. It will only be then that people will look for potential alternatives because they will be affected by the collapse and leaders, politicians and institutions won't be able to provide any answers. This is why exposure to RBE/TVP as a concept before the collapse happens is important so that people know there is a viable alternative.

I hope that someday WE the people create a system like this,but fisrt we have to deal with our global governments and this problem has a difficult solution as the most of us are not informed or thinking about these kind of systems which are created by such an open-minded and optimistic people,we can not support ideas or systems like this because our leaders and all those who want to not react to their failed and strictly regime are sipmly desire to be an obstucle to our development

Good Health is a threat to Drug Companies, Awareness is a Threat to advertising companies, renewable energies is a threat to Oil & Gas companies, quality & (long life) is a threat to Electronic companies in other words Efficiency is threat to entire (current) economic structure. Education has a lot to do with how we treat one another and care for each other. This is a great video and need to be shared among many people. We will always have people to disagree with something so unique like this is displayed, however, they will like it if they never had to worry about the necessities in life. We have an abundance of resources-drive down the highway--and look how much land is around us. No one should be without their basic needs. Love Is Good for Everyone!!! Great Video!!!
