ok, you might have said it in the video but i dunno so, how do they stay on the slidey thing when you dont do the motion for them to retract? and how did you cut the claw shape out?

It's quite a stiff slider so that helps. But there is a locking device at 1 end which keeps it in place when walking around,
and 1 quick swing of the arm will relese it.
The claws, there was nothing to it really.
I drowe round 1 of the door handles on a peace of paper, drowe a curved shape at 1 end, cut it out and used that as a template.
