Here, in Wisconsin, we call roundabouts, roundabouts. That is clearly different than the term that is sometimes used in the UK- traffic circle or roundabout, neither term, of which is wholely applicable, 100 percent of the time, in certain circular circumstances.

@nostalgiamelancolia1 If Americans are calling it a roundabout, doesn't that make the American term for it a "roundabout"? The Virginia State Police released a public service video on the subject of Roundabouts, not Traffic Circle. It seems YOU are the one who is ignorant.

The American term for "Roundabout" is "Traffic Circle" but many Americans are ignorant about this,and think that roundabout is the usual term.they don't realize that roundabout is the British term and traffic circle is the American term.
