  • Oh and one more thing...it is really disgusting to see all of the resources that we have just sitting up in the forest rotting away instead of being used to alternative resources for energy it is just plain waist full and I believe it is the governments fault due to not letting us reuse it....is that not the meaning of RECYCLE????

We can we put it to good use, manage our forest for a healthy one for all...wildlife and humans?? WAKE UP!

  • I agree we need to depend on our renewable resource...being TIMBER! and the wind that this country produces...and our residents do care for the environment as do the environmentalists...and ranching is the heart of this counties livelihood and if they, the environmentalists continue to choke our grazing then you all just might go hungry! You meat does not just come from SAFEWAY! It comes from CATTLE COUNTRY!!!

  • Let them log... so they can see that nobody is buying and quit crying about environmentalists.

  • He is a Rep. not a Senator...

  • Pitchforks and torches people...pitchforks and torches. It's time for leadership that will not pander to enviromentalist radicalism, high priced lawyers, and well funded lobbyists. Get rid of the enviromentalists who do more harm than good as well. let the people, like the loggers and ranchers and farmers, who really do care for he land decide policy as they know whats best. More so than some valley lawyer.

  • More logging might be appropriate - IF the timber companies actually pay a real market rate, rather than the subsidized stumpage fees they get from the USFS AND IF the forests would still be managed for multiple use, rather than timber abuse. Signed, former USFS timber beast

  • Dear Senator Walden: I would guess that you would support the people's need to secede from Oregon into a new state, named after Thomas Jefferson who said, "The government that's big enough to give anything you want is big enough to take everything you have." We have had it with Willamette Valley (enough is enough!!), so we'd really appreciate your support. Can we count on you?
