I agree with you! The quartet version of Love is the Answer, is so beautiful, I don't even listen to the full orchestration one. It is just that the sound this woman makes - alone - is just beautiful music. There is no singer out there that can come close to her singing sound - nobody. Barbra - Piano & Legrand would be PERFECT!

a friend send the link of this youtube (so good!!) thing. I remember when Babs sang this song live on stage in Paris. I was attending the show. Believe me she as always was just PERFECT!!

Krall plays & produces. ..it's a jazz album. the opening track is "here's to life". she also does the Brel standard "ne me quitte pa". i'm looking forward to it (9/29).

Yes, no one sings Michel's songs like Streisand; not even Sinatra. I'd love to see Barbra sing some of Legrand's lesser known songs on a new CD with just piano. Now that would be perfect. Just piano, because I could not resist her rendition of "Nobody's heart Belongs to Me" from the relatively new DVD. Barbra and piano should be the name of the new album!

Amazing. Streisand and Legrand are a perfect match with his melancholy melodies. Sinatra could never touch this.
