When Theon and his men were in Winterfell and it was surrounded.. how did Theon's men just go back home after hitting Theon on the head and knocking him out? Also, how did Theon get captured and then tortured in season 3? I have watched all episodes but missed that bit.

As for the tv show being different to the books.. it's always the case that the transition to screen means things get changed to suit the different mediums. Using 1 character to portray 5 from the book makes sense.

How do you explain away the wrong character being beheaded at the start of the series? Not to mention all the scenes without any point of view characters? I mean a scene with Cerci and Jaime having a conversation in season one? Really?

Yeah, those changes are just world breaking!

The Jeyne version is "we fucked so I married you". It's done much better on the show I think. The reason they changed the character is because they wanted to make it more about love and they didn't want the same character but doing different things.

The nose thing, well that's just hard to pull of on TV.

Also Tyrion is supposed to LOSE his nose, not just have it slightly cut.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have difficulty watching the series because of the differences between the books and the show? I got cynical after the wrong guy was beheaded in the beginning of the show.
