  • haha.. no problem. the test is pointless. its designed not to test your abilities, but to weed out people who can't ride a motorbike. about 30 people lined up for the test, only 2 passed.

  • I get an International Driver Permit every year in the States when I visit and bring that back to Korea with me. I have a motorcycle license from America, and Korea is a signatory for the IDP. Works fine.

  • I've got a scholarship to teach english in korea in a couple of months for a year and i ride bikes (SUZUKI INTRUDERS FTW =P) and am wondering how much i can look at (in NZD) buying a bike over there??

  • There are motorcycle schools in Korea??? A license is needed??? In my experience, Korean motorcyclists are above the law. They can drive wherever and however they want.

  • I now about 4 or 5 international, but Korean motorcycle exam is an easiest of them. But their car test IS cool.

  • You are forgetting that 75% of motorbikes you see in the city are on the sidewalk....hello?

  • yay, he passed!

  • I wanted to get a license, been riding for a few years, but everybody says the driving course is designed to make sure almost everybody fails. Even experienced drivers from other countries fail the test! It's obviously not a good test from what I can see.

  • a good test if you're only riding below speeds of 10 km/h. While I learned something from the test, there were somethings I needed to learn and didn't....such as counter steering and leaning, as well as braking in an emergency. Far more important than being able to make a 90 degree turn at 10km/h without putting my foot down. Those motorcycle cops are impressive though.

  • What a joke.

Granted if you can't ride a bike properly you would definitely fail the test but it's not really a 'road' test at all and is hardly applicable for real world riding.

No wonder so many people don't bother and just punt around on 125cc bikes in Korea, like me.
