  • Thanks for your reply - I guess I took the 'Moody/80's' comment to infer that this arrangement was archaic and thus . . . well, inferior? I'm sure that's not what you meant, so my apologies, if needed. I think overall the arrangement was seeking to appeal to young and old alike (which is certainly not easy in Christian worship music today).

  • @HeroicOaf -- I hear you! I get your drift, but I don't see a contradiction between contemporary and reverence though.

  • @chicorico70 Nothing wrong with that. . . besides, it's Christmas - all the more reason to keep it reverant.

  • Maravilhosoooooo

  • Less choir, por favor

  • I'm just surprised that it would be aired on PBS ... whoa! The arrangement is very moving and seems to "fit" with the more subdued part of the program. While I think the angel chorus was loud, joyful, and filled with praise, the Wise Men would be more quiet and reflective. (Just a guess)

  • Godbless ...my favorite song

  • I love Paul's music very much and after watching this and some of the other videos from this PBS special.....I don't think Paul looks very comfortable. Being a worship leader (at a small church) myself, I would feel really out of my element with a massive orchestra and choir behind me....but I bet it was awesome! :)

  • GIve yourselves as an offering for God's glory!

You may be the most successful person in this world but...

Nothing else matters.... nothing in this world... nothing, except

to serve and glorify the King of kings, the Lord of lords!

  • I love Paul Baloche, but I definitely prefer his more contemporary version for this song. Sounds like Moody radio in the late 80's! :-D
