Blessed! tells the story of two men united by their passion for the Boston Red Sox. Season ticket holder Mike Barnicle, a columnist and radio host, spends his summers close to the action, sitting just a few rows from the Fenway field, 60 games a year. The other, Chris Wertz, a displaced Bostonian, owns Professor Thom's, a Red Sox bar in 'enemy territory' in downtown Manhattan. These two men, like most other members of Red Sox Nation, are not complacent with one World Series title. They still rise and fall with their team, living and dying with every pitch. Will a second World Series solidify the new generation for Red Sox nation or will a fizzle by the favorites awaken the ghosts of a curse thought buried?
