Premise: Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. Alternate Reality.

Memo: There is a semi detailed scene analysis listed below that you can refer to if the video is confusing. I personally think the video is & should be pretty self explanatory, as I tried to make it appear that way. Please note that although Gwen does appear frequently in the video, she and Theresa have never met. She is there purely as Ethan's significant other, at least for the aspect of this video, that is.

Chimera - Redux: Scene By Scene Analysis

0:00 -0:10: Theresa faints. Hospital scenery; surgery; Theresa in catatonic state.

0:10 - 0:39: Flashbacks of Theresa's life. Flash to memories of ET as a family with Little Ethan, Jane. Memories of ET together, ET bonding with Little Ethan.

0:39 - 1:01: Theresa's family worries about her safety & sanity. Flash to Ethan praying for her to come out of her coma-like state.

1:01 - 1:25: Ethan recalls the good times of his life & relationship with Theresa. He realizes that although he is no longer with her, he's still in love with her. Ethan realizes that now he is torn between honor & duty and love & fate.

1:25 - 1:49: Eve & other doctors tell Theresa's family and friends that she will never come out of her coma. Her chances of survival are slim. Her family wrestles with the decision to let her go in peace. Flash to Ethan faced with the medical statistic that he has lost Theresa forever.

1:49 - 2:05: Ethan argues with Ivy & Fox. He also listens to Luis talk about letting Theresa go in peace & taking her off life support.

2:05 - 2:30: Leaving Theresa's family, Ethan discusses the possibility of Theresa dying with Gwen. Gwen, even though she envies Theresa for always having a part of Ethan's heart that she can never touch, understands his frustration. She knows that a part of Ethan will always love Theresa and wonder what his life would be like if he were with her.

2:30 - 2:52: Ethan recalls the details of Theresa's accident. He is reminded of how he came to ask Gwen to marry him, their wedding, their love. On the other hand, he is reminded of what his life with Theresa was like. Stolen kisses, soft spoken words, nights of unadulterated bliss, specifically the night they consumated their relationship on the beach.

2:52 - 3:15: Gwen ponders if Ethan will finally follow his heart and leave her for Theresa. Ethan confesses to Sheridan that he'd leave Gwen to reconcile with Theresa if she ever came out of her coma. Ethan promises Little Ethan that he will always love his mother, even if he is married to another woman or if death separates them.

3:15 - 3:50: Theresa starts to recall the nightmares in her mind of her life with Ethan. Memories of her arguing with her parents, memories of her seeing Gwen with Ethan consume her hatred. She also remembers the attempt made on her life, and that her family's greatest nemesis...tried to kill her. At the last few seconds, we see her hand start to move. Her love for Ethan, and those memories, both the wonderful and agonizing, are bringing her back from the brink of death.

3:50 - 4:11: Theresa wakes up from slumber and finds that everything is not as she left it. Her family is still the same, but the love of her life, Ethan....is now married to another woman, a woman he vowed to cherish & remain faithful to, and has a child with her.

4:11 - 4:42: Theresa tells Ethan that she can't live like this anymore. She can't be around him, knowing that he'll be kissing, touching, living with another woman. Theresa alerts him that she believes in their love enough to take step aside, and allow him to honor his marriage vows, even though it means that they will never be together...Fade to black.
