@shikomee you're questioning somebody's methods who is obviously to stupid to SET the video camera in a spot while standing across from it with both hands FREE to ensure he handles the chemicals safely..... for some reason your argument doesn't seem much more intelligent than the dip who made the video. Just sayin'... but agree that he did say he was using this magical potion (which is now a bomb in a glass jar)... to remove oil from the wood. I was hoping this had something to do with art...

where did you hear of this technique? The oil will deteriorate the wood over time, but the ammonia, I have my reservations about that as well. The problem with oil is that it contains (or slowly becomes) acid, but ammonia is highly alkaline, which is just as destructive as an acid. The ideal is a balanced pH.
