Steamtown NHS: The Holiday Express 2011

Every year, on the last weekend of November and the first weekend of December, Steamtown National Historic Site fires up their beautiful Canadian National S-1-b 2-8-2 "Mikado" #3254 for excursions to Moscow, Pennsylvania. This special excursion, "The Holiday Express," takes families to the Moscow Station so that they could enjoy making crafts, drinking hot cocoa, and seeing good Ol' Saint Nick. This is the first chase that both 87STEELE and I have had on this line, and given some of the circumstances, it was a very hard chase! CN 3254 was losing steam before the departure, so the excursion was delayed, but they made up time (as you can tell by some of my shots) and arrived in Moscow on time.
