  • Come to the Astoria, Mr Minnow - We'll have a whip round if necessary, assuming you're in the UK. To see Cardiacs live is like nothing else. One giant happy family.

  • No such luck, I'm across the ocean. Otherwise I'd be there in a heartbeat, haha.

  • nice - thanks MrMinnow, me and a couple of mates are gonna see the Cardiacs for the first time on Nov 10th at the Astoria :) yay yayaaa

  • Lucky, I wish I could go, haha. I haven't had the chance to actually see them except through bootlegs and Mare's Nest. I'll make it one day though.

  • i kid you not, this is the singular greatest song ever written.

no song has ever dared challnge the boundaries of conventional songwriting and yet maintained the emotion, groove and downright exceptional awesomeness that this song does.

words can genuinely not express the power this song has. completely and totally perfect in every aspect. my eternal applause........

  • Closer to god than anything on earth

  • Long live Tim Smith, the greatest songwriter on earth.

  • Good God, how he holds the 'out' for the last two minutes...remarkable, utterly remarkable. I wish I could've seen them live.

  • What's the song at the start? or is it just an intro to dirty boy?

  • cardiacs fucking rock. bombastic! ..as we do...

  • The definitive display of music....ever....Tim Smith IS a fucking genius.......ALWAYS....end of.......the GREATEST song ever written....FACT

  • Have been crying all morning watching videos like this. Cardiacs changed my life too, profoundly. I first saw Cardiacs supporting Here and Now in 1985. Since then, maybe missed around twenty gigs while i was living in Asia. Travelled to Holland of course for the Charabangalang and all the other special gigs like the church in Salsbury. There simply is nothing out there remotely as challenging, terrifying, uplifting and moving as the work of Tim Smith. I love you Tim. Get well soon!!

  • This song changed my life.

  • @nonpoint418 i wholeheartedly agree.i remember when i got the album and played this while my less informed brother was in the room.got to the part ,,over and out and 3 minutes later he said,,how the fuck can he do that without taking a breath haha

  • Pure Genius!
