The team practices disturbance training techniques that could come into play during a riot, and they complete exercises like crowd-control formations to help manage unruly crowds.

1st Lieutenant Aaron Goodrich of the Montana Army National Guard explained, "The recovery team comes out and subdues and takes into custody instigators - anybody that is antagonizing or demonstrating violence against the riot control formation."

And the QRF team members even take turns getting Tased to perfect the use of non-lethal weapons.
