Jesus is the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost! Also, look at the story of Thomas in John 20, and the story in John chapter 8.That's why in the second chapter of Acts after the Holy spirit had been poured out, Peter stood up and when asked "What must I do to be saved, he said Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost".

Mark 16:15-16 also says that we should Go, Preach, and he that is baptized shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned. Jesus said in John 5:39 that He came in his Father's name and John 10:30 "I and my father are one". Colossians 1:15 says Jesus is the image of the invisible God, and Colossians 2:9 says the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ. Jesus also refers to himself as the Comforter (the Holy Ghost) in John 16:7.

Joseph, I want to share a few scriptures on New Testament Salvation, I hope they will be a blessing to you. John 3:5 (Jesus told Nicodemus that we must be born again of the water and the spirit to enter into the kingdom of heaven). Matthew 28:18-19 (Jesus told he disciples that ALL power is given unto Him, and gave the great commission that believers should Go, Teach, Baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Hello Joseph, Praise God for your testimony!!!! God doesn't make mistakes, the bible says," Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled", and "He whom the Son set free is free indeed"!!! Jesus loves you so much, and He has an awesome purpose and plan for your life. He is going to use YOU to bring others to truth. I want to encourage you to keep on seeking His will for your life.

Regarding the lady quoting Romans etc...missionaries just counter it by saying that the bible is full of mistakes and only the book of mormon is the perfect book, that and doctrines and covenants or the pearl of great price just overwrite the bible...AND then they just tell you to read the book of mormon they "challenge you" to pray about it and feel the burning in your bosom. Then it doesn't matter if the bible says something all you have to do is have that burning bosom and blindly believe
