鄧麗君 ~ 忘記他 Teresa Teng - Mong Gei Ta (Forget Him)

'Mong Gei Ta' (忘記他 , Forget Him) is arguably the most widely known Cantonese pop song ever produced. This is an original version, sung by Teresa Teng and included in her first Cantonese album, 势不两立 (1980). The song was written by James Wong.

This is a fan-made music video. I edited movie clips from a joint Hong Kong-Singaporean romance film, starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Gigi Leung. The movie is filmed in Taipei.

I dedicate this video to my YouTube friends Chongcyuan, Fhlew, Hujuahua, Littlebluelemon, PispalanPoika and ZiyaoM. Why? Because they are nice people and they all loves Teresa Teng. ^_^

By the way, 'Mong Gei Ta' was given a shocking makeover by Shirley Kwan in 1995. This new Dream pop version was featured in Wong Kar-Wai's romantic movie 'Fallen Angels' as the Jukebox song number '1818'. As the title suggested, the hitman played by Leon Lai wanted his accomplice, Michelle Reis, to forget him.

The Chinese lyrics have been translated into English by HkshipsForTeresaTeng. Cantonese romanization is also contributed by HkshipsForTeresaTeng. Thank you once again, George.
