Song: Your Bore by Seether. This is part 1 of my video about most amazing deep sea creatures! See more on part 2 & 3! :D
christmas tree worm (Spirobranchus giganteus), it has multicolored spirals (resemble a chirtsmas tree) which are merely the worm's highly-derived respiratory structures.
vestimentiferan worm (Lamellibrachia), tube worm species living at deep-sea cold seeps
deep sea giant spider (Pantopoda), sea spiders are not true spiders, or even arachnids, but they are still arthopods.
tripod fish (Bathypterois grallator), notable for using much elongated fin rays in their tails and two pelvic fins in order to stand in tripod position
yeti crab (Kiwa hirsuta), notable for the quantity of silky blond setae (resembling fur) covering its thoracic legs, including claws
viperfish (Chauliodus), it has long, needle-like teeth and hinged lower jaws. it's one of the fiercest deep sea predators
chimaera (Chimaera), notable for its long nose-like snout
bell-shaped jellyfish (siphonophore), not a true jellyfish, more related to hydrozoa, one of the species is notable because it has some beautiful bell-shaped structures
glowing sucker octopus (Stauroteuthis), one of a few glowing octopuses
handfish (Brachionichthyidae), unusual, slow moving fishes that prefer to 'walk' rather than swim, using their modified pectoral fins to move about on the sea floor. These highly modified fins have the appearance of hands, hence their scientific name
anglerfish (Lophiiformes), named for their characteristic mode of predation, wherein a fleshy growth from the fish's head (the esca or illicium) acts as a lure, this is considered analogous to angling.
cowfish (Ostraciidae), notable for the hexagonal or "honeycomb" patterns in their skin. They swim in a rowing manner.
dumbo octopus (Grimpoteuthis), on eof the rarets octopuses, from the ear-like fins protruding from the top of their head-like bodies, resembling the ears of Walt Disney's flying elephant, Dumbo.
sea angel snail (Gymnosomata), the foot of the sea snail has developed into wing-like flapping appendages (parapodia) and their shells have been lost. These are both adaptations which suit their free-swimming oceanic lives, looks like a flying angel.
