Navy Beans: Clean and soak overnight, drain water. In large stockpot add beans, any dehydrated veggies you choose (remember how long it takes your veggies to rehydrate i.e., thick carrots should go in first, thin ones maybe 20 minutes before done), 6 cups of water (may have to add more as they cook), 6 chicken boullion cubes, 1 can of diced tomatoes (tomato powder, tomato sauce or tomato paste works also) 2 Tablespoons of basil, 1 large bay leaf. Also, things to your taste i.e., garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil... Bring to a boil and turn down to simmer, stirring occasionally.. Beans are done when tender.

Irish Bread
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons of baking powder
2/3 cup of milk
1/2 cup raisins
1 Tablespoon carraway seed (Optional)

Preheat oven to 375. Spray a round cake pan with Pam spray or grease the pan. Put dry ingredients in bowl and stir together, add milk, raisins and carraway seed. Turn onto floured board and knead around 20 times. Shape into a circle and place in baking dish. Bake 20 - 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Love that electric pressure cooker! I had seen it on another channel & here it is again. I will have to add that to my wish list! LOL I love bean soups! We eat Red Beans a lot & love them. Thanks 4 sharing. Take care.

  • @redberrychick43 Once I learned how to use it, I have used it like twice a week. The manual ones I've had before and cleaning and releasing the steam was a nightmare. The Cuisinart is non-stick and cleans up really easily.

  • @Rhiahl That is great! Would love to see more recipes or meals you fix in the pressure cooker. I have a 6gt pressure cooker that I used to use a couple years ago~may have to pull it out again. But I do like the idea of the electric one~while we can still use Electricty & afford it (barely in my area) LOL. We do not have water meters but they get us in Electricty!!
