Montage of some of Gaudi's work in Barcelona accompanied by the music of Dario Marianelli.

Antoni Gaudi was born in 1852. He liked to mimic life and nature in his work and at first was not popular with his peers. His only patron at that time was Eusebi Guell, for whom the now famous Park Guell was named. Today he is considered to be one of the most innovative artists of all time. In his later years Gaudi devoted all his time to La Sagrada Familia which is estimated to be finished in 2026. However his works may be endangered by the proposed new underground rail system which will run within feet of the foundations of La Sagrada, Casa Batllo and Casa Mila!

Ironically, Gaudi was killed by a tram in 1926.
