I've always loved a bit out of tune, shouting, shrieking, and/or suave voices. Siouxsie has always shouted!! The problem is with time it has damaged her voice and thus she can't sing older songs anymore. The good thing is when she does new songs!! Just like Into A Swan!! Her voice here echoes perfectly in her mike. Perfect out-of-tune punk goddess!! Siouxsie rules!

She is, was and always will be amazing. But I agree: Her lack of correct pitch as of late hurts my ears and pains my heart. The "Aguileras of the world" employ a totally different technique, and that comparison is apples to oranges. Pitch is pitch, though, and if you're off key as any kind of a singer, you can't hack it at a professional level. She need not do vocal gymnastics, but here she can't even walk a straight line. And I no longer buy "it's the air conditioning" as an excuse. ;-)
