As Elizabeth Smart prepares to take the witness stand Thursday morning, she is also preparing for an assignment of a different kind. In November, Elizabeth will leave to serve an LDS mission in Paris, France.

You know what, before anyone bashes religion, how bout asking yourself how you would have bounced back from being raped everyday for 9 months. Obviously religion or "mormonism" isn't all that bad if she can recover from something as traumatic as what she's been through. Just saying.

you guys are insane. I am one of Elizabeth's cousins, you guys didn't see the emotional toll it took on her, and the family. You didn't see the change in her when she came home. You guys think you know all the stories, but you don't have a clue! Her life was turned upside down in an instant. She was just a helpless 14 year old who even missed her 15th birthday.
