  • @babychick818: We have not been trading since the beginning of time. It wasnt until the neolithic revolution when the race went from being hunter gathers to farmers. Until then there was no need to trade because everbody was provided for by the eviornment. Also trading and consuming are different things, we have to consume to survive but there is no reason to trade for survival except that our system demands it.

  • i'm a consumer whore. but cmon people have been trading since the beginning of time! the silk trade, the trans-atlantic trade..and many others i can't name on the top of my head. it's just that now we've evolved to technology as a new consumer product. instead of food, and clothing, cars and cell phones are the hottest item on the trade market.
