Now in glorious 780p! More blabber: I gifted myself with a new camera with an ultra wide angle lens. I recommend this for any other urbexers/explorers; I can usually capture floor to ceiling goodness. In this case, two storeys of it.
About this house: for the first time ever I had the opportunity to enter a house that I had also seen while occupied, under two tenants. The first was a childhood friend, and the second a man who built elaborate birdhouses. He also had between 50 and 100 cats which had been born in barns. It was he who decided that the place should be open concept. The landlord was neglecting upkeep; the ceiling needed more work thanthe house was worth to him. My parents had supper with him once, according to them there were also some issues with the plumbing and. Id buy that for a dolla!
One interesting feature was the graffito (not shown in this video) that included the surname of a friend of mine. And a suggestion of gayness. It had been painted over with wall paint, so I assume that Mr. Cats and birds dunnit. He also kept his whole phone book written on the walls, many names I recognized there as well. Welcome to small town Canada, eh.
Since the making of this vid this house has bit the dust. Flames, actually. Three of my favorite houses have been burned down in the last two years, and another was torn down. I am very, very sad not to be able to return to them.
For photos: (because thats the reason why I'm bad at filming things, I film like I take pictures. So my pictures are a bit better) http://findthecitycenter.blogspot.com/2009/12/on-shandi-and-house-of-many-cat...
I didn't see a single cat.
