Pro-Lifer Assaulted at Prayer Vigil Outside Planned Parenthood

The woman parked her vehicle in a driveway behind the security camera. After remaining in her car for 30-40 seconds, she walked into the street in front of 650 N Fulton and took photos and approached 40 Days fo Life (40DFL) volunteers and staff. Meanwhile, two female Planned Parenthood clients, at least one of which was pregnant, stopped to talk to Victor. The video starts as the woman repeatedly uses obscene gestures and language towards 40DFL personnel. She returns to the area of her vehicle (behind the security camera) for a minute. She then exited her vehicle and a second time approached 40DFL staff as well as two members of the public. (the clients.) The woman harassed the 40DFL volunteer prior to striking and attempting to take the event security camera. 40DFL staff member and Vigil Leader on duty attempted to protect the equipment and was struck and scratched by the woman. (She drew blood.) The woman left the scene by way of her vehicle.

PRESS RELEASE: Pattern of Threats and Intimidation Escalates Into an Assault on a Pro-Life Volunteer at a Prayer Vigil

FRESNO, CA Right to Life of Central California (RLCC), one of the largest pro-life organizations west of the Mississippi, today condemned the pattern of threats and intimidation targeted at pro-life volunteers, that escalated into an assault Thursday afternoon.

On October 15th, Day 23 of our 40 Days for Life campaign, a pro-choice woman shouted obscenities at 40 Days volunteers, before attempting to break the event security camera and assaulting Victor Fierro, director of Latinos4Life. The attacker cut Fierros arm with an unknown object, drawing blood, and then stormed back to her car and fled the scene. Much of the encounter took place right behind the camera, but the audio was all captured, as well as her face and license plate number. A police report is being filed this morning, and the video being uploaded to YouTube later today.

RLCCs Education Director Josh Brahm said, Were just trying to hold a peaceful prayer vigil out here. Were law-abiding citizens, standing on a public sidewalk, with the full support of the Fresno Police Department, and yet several pro-abortion-choice people have been harassing us since day one. Now its turned physical.

A police report has already been filed regarding another individual thats come by several times, stealing signs and making threatening remarks. In addition, a man called the Fresno Right to Life office this morning, saying when you go and shoot doctors that are just trying to offer a service to women its not good; theres a lot of hate out there, and one day its going to blow up, and a lot of people are going to get hurt; why should I give you back anything but the sh** youve given to everybody else, and why dont you just die you godd*** mother-f***ing piece of sh**!

Josh Brahm said, Fresno Right to Life has a long and undeniable history of peaceful pro-life activism, which we will proudly continue even in the face of bullying and intimidation.

Local media ignored the story of yesterdays assault on their evening news casts. KMPH Fox 26 told Josh Brahm that they werent going to cover the story since Victor wasnt stabbed, just scratched. KFSN ABC 30 shot footage at Planned Parenthood and interviewed both Josh Brahm and Victor Fierro, but didnt use the story, replacing it with a piece on the new chocolate-covered bacon stand at the local fair, and a man who believes he sees the virgin Mary on a rock.

For over 22 years, RLCC has been a leader in peaceful, legal activities to protect human lives threatened by abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. Besides, true feminists are against abortion. Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Alice Paul, and all of the other original feminists were anti-abortion, and helped write the original anti-abortion laws. @LifeReport Unless you're going to resort to religion, the defining characteristics humans use to differentiate themselves from animals revolve around what's going on in the brain. Namely their capacity to experience: dread, fear, anguish, and emotional pain. Also the capacity to reason, plan, and the sense of self identity. These qualities are obviously not present at all stages of development. The capacity to develop those characteristics isn't the same as possessing them.

This is actually a very common attitude that this woman displayed.

I haven't experienced a physical attack (one person did try to make us think he was going to hit us with his car) but the level of disrespect is always like this.

Many times I have been told I have the same value in such peoples' eyes as the children in the womb along with the wish that I could be aborted.

I ask them if the reason why they don't abort(by shooting, stabbing) me is because they would likely be imprisoned?

@HowardSternn Hey, we have some common ground! I knew we'd finally find something we can agree on! I also agree that changing hearts is a crucial part of this battle, and that's primarily the work I'm in. I'm not trying to change the laws. I'm fine with other people doing that, but my work is educational. I try to use facts and not myths to educate both sides about this issue. I have a lot of pro-choice friends because I treat them with respect and I take their ideas seriously on our show.
