Second I'm a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, and just returned from my third trip to Iraq.

I think these cops should have done a better job learning how to shoot. They werent anymore than 50 yards from what It looks like on the videos I have seen. I think it would help also if people would bear arms seriously. I own guns and I dont see how 2 guys lasted that long against like 50 cops. I can shoot accurately with a revolver easy 50 yds. None of the cops carry a revolver. They were out in the open even. AKs are bad though. I have one and they are very accurate on semi-auto @ 200yds easy

Don't blame assault rifles, blame poor training on the LAPD's behalf and not enough civilians caring personal weapons to protect themselfs. Maybe if Dr. Montes took advantage of his 2nd amendment right he could have stopped the whole mess right from the get go by scoring 2 head or groin shots from his good concealed over looking position.

Maybe in video games, but not in real life. AK's can handle full mag bursts all day long. By far the most effective way to use this weapon is on Semi Auto. Also good trigger control, correct sight picture, aggressive shooting stance helps too. In a combat situation you should fire hammer pairs center mass.
